Family visits to Ghana over the years meant that Raye and her sisters witnessed firsthand the stark contrast between their own privileged lives and the realities faced by people in under-resourced communities. They saw children eager to learn but lacking basic supplies, families without access to adequate food and healthcare, and communities struggling without the necessary resources to thrive.
These experiences highlighted the need to recalibrate their privilege and share their abundance in a more meaningful way. They recognised that many people in a similar position have the resources to help but lack a direct and impactful way to do so. Ripples Charity was established to meet this need, providing a channel for those with wealth to support and uplift those in need.
Not only does this address the immediate needs of individuals who lack basic necessities, such as food, education, and healthcare, it also provides a service for those with significant resources who want to make a tangible difference in the lives of others. By connecting these two groups, Ripples Charity aims to create a positive impact on a global scale, ensuring that resources are shared more equitably and that every individual has the opportunity to thrive.
At its core, Ripples Charity exists to leverage the abundance of some to meet the needs of others, providing a sense of shared responsibility and collective impact. Making a difference, one ripple at a time.
